Got rejected but at least I get to share it with y'all noooow.
Here's a page with more info about the characters and such
[link]And here's the rejection E-mail, in case anyone would find it useful. I wanted to find out who else was doing these when I started out to get a feel for what Frederator wanted but no-one was really sharing.
Thanks, Alex.
Nice job on "Space Waitress," though we're going to pass on the project, unfortunately. I wish I had specific concerns or reservations (other than the sex scene going on way too long), but the truth is I just wasn't invested enough in Trish to make me want to spend time with her. My take is, ultimately, the cartoon is defined not by Trish's character but rather by her situation. Take her off the planet she's on and drop her back on Earth and that which defines the show is gone. In contrast, you remove SpongeBob from Bikini Bottom or Fred Flintstone from Bedrock and those characters hold up and remain compelling. Again, that just my take.
In any event, thanks for the interest. Best of luck with "Space Waitress."

That being said, I really love your idea (I've never read something so adult that didn't make me feel awkward and embarrassed) and even though you didn't get a greenlight I still hope you decide to animate it and make tonnes more Space Waitress stories
Are you working on thumbnails now? Me and my fellow rejectfriend Rob would be happy to go over it and suggest things that Eric Homan likes to see. We're starting to build a pretty extensive profile of his tastes based on stuff he's turned down from us.
I'd be so chuffed if you guys could give it a look over once it's done, I'd love to hear your opinions and also know what Eric's likes and dislikes are.
